In the end, there is something to be said for having volume/brightness affected by a continuous controller, but I still haven't gotten used to adjusting an instrument's attack with velocity. Then I found it to be a useful way of working when playing, for example, the solo violins.

In GPO, velocity controls attack time while the mod wheel is used to control velocity+brightness.įor me this setup was a totally counterintuitive way of working, and at first I hated it. The stock instruments are not velocity sensitive in the traditional sense. One caveat, tho, and something I wasn't aware of at all when I purchased it. But there are other great samples as well. There are some very good samples in there, my particular favorites being the harps and the solo violins. I'm still getting used to the programme so apologies if my explanation isn't very clear or if i'm being stupid! I think other midi data is also being affected so it must be logic rather than GPO. Not sure whether this is a common problem in many sequecners but it seemed to work fine when i used cubasis on the pc. Need to be held down for sustained notes are affected. Playing very short utterances of what i played. Logic, everything sounds fine but when i play it back it appears to be only After installing the GPO update i managed to get it to show up in the AU units but now i'm having a problemwith getting the samples to play back the same way i play them in.
I have recently purchused Logic Pro and have begun using GPO with it.
